Ember's Newborn Photos - Jefferson City, Missouri Baby Photographer

Baby Ember came to see me on her one month birthday and we had so much fun taking these photos!  I normally try to schedule newborn sessions in the first two weeks of life, but I love being able to get more awake shots with an older baby.  Ember was wide awake when we started shooting but she was perfectly content to be swaddled and posed however I wanted her.  She did stare me down a few times, though!  

Once she did drift off to sleep, we were able to get some sleepy photos, including my favorite one of her swaddled in pink laying in the white cradle.  She looks so peaceful!  

The best time to book a newborn session is before baby makes his or her arrival.  If baby is already here, though, there's still a good chance we can do a newborn session.  Since older babies are often more alert, there may not be as many of the sleepy, curled up poses but the eye contact and expressions of older newborns are so much fun to capture.  Contact me here for more info on scheduling a newborn session.
