Duke's First Birthday Cake Smash & Splash

Duke wrapped up his first year with a super fun cake smash and splash at my Jefferson City, MO studio.  Mom wanted something pretty neutral for the setup, so we went with a deep green color and a simple cake.  While Duke absolutely loved smashing the cake and playing in the icing, it didn't even compare to how much fun he had splashing in the tub after.  I love the big grin on his face in those photos!  

Duke is one of my Milestone Plan babies so I have gotten to photograph him as a newborn and a six month old.  Seeing him turn one is bittersweet but I'm so excited to have him back and see how he's grown.  Happy birthday Duke!
