Bowen's family chose to capture his newborn photos at their home in order to document these early days with their new little one and I absolutely love how these turned out! Baby boy was sleepy for quite a bit of the session, but when he did wake up he was so calm and curious.
I wanted these photos to have a natural, candid feel so props were kept to a minimum. Bowen wore one of his own outfits and Mom requested that we use a special Mizzou quilt that was made just for Bowen by grandma. We used Bowen's nursery for some of the pictures in order to capture the fun details in there. I also made sure to include pictures of his tiny fingers and toes!
In-home lifestyle photos are a great option for those who want authentic, candid photos of those first few weeks at home with their baby. I often get asked when the best time to book is. I recommend booking at least 2 months prior to your due date in order to ensure my availability. I offer posed newborn photos in my home studio in the Jefferson City area and recommend doing those in the first 2-3 weeks of life. I recommend doing in-home sessions in the first 2-4 weeks of life.
